Caring for you as we would for ourselves

Progressive care unit & cardiopulmonary unit

The progressive care unit specializes in delivering care to medical and surgical patients who need close monitoring and frequent assessment but do not require (or no longer require) full intensive care. We can also provide ongoing complex treatments that cannot be offered in the intensive care unit. Our specialist team manages the admissions process for patients to ensure they receive highly-specialized 24/7 care.

Our medical-surgical progressive care unit, linked to the Hôpital de La Tour cardiopulmonary unit, has been officially approved by the CRUIMC (a commission for the recognition of progressive care units from the Swiss society of intensive care medicine). This guarantee of quality for our patients requires us to meet a series of rigorous qualitative and quantitative criteria, particularly in terms of the clinical expertise of our medical and care teams, as well as in terms of patient space, equipment and staffing. Hôpital de La Tour is proud to be the first private facility in Romandy to receive this impressive accreditation.
