Reconstructive surgery
The reconstructive surgery services we offer are intended to treat the after-effects of cancers or the consequences of accidents, operations or any other trauma. They are also indicated for ablating cutaneous tumors, taking care to achieve the most discreet result possible while avoiding any risk of recurrence. Reconstructive surgery is particularly indicated in the following cases:

Breast surgery
Breast surgery is indicated not only in some cases of malformation or after cancer treatment (mastectomy), but also to respond to discomfort or anxiety about one's appearance. Several services are available depending on the issue:

Lipoaspiration, lipofilling and lipostructure
Localized deposits of excess fat may form in different parts of the body and will not go away, despite exercise and a proper diet. Lipoaspiration or liposuction makes it possible to radically and permanently remove these localized excess fat deposits. It is important to note, however, that this operation, which is purely for aesthetic purposes, should not be undertaken as a method of weight loss and does not in any way allow you to forgo living a healthy lifestyle.
Lipofilling and lipostructure, on the other hand, allow fat removed from one part of the body to be reinjected into another part for the purpose of filling (buttocks or breasts, for example).
Other services
In addition to services related to the face, breasts or abdomen, which make up a large part of our practice, other services are also offered to respond to common complaints:
- Hand rejuvenation by correcting blemishes, improving the look of veins and restoring volume
- Lifting the underside of the arm in order to remove excess skin
- Lipoaspiration of the arms to give them a shapely contour
- Gynecomastia, for men with enlarged chests
- Surgery and reduction nymphoplasty in cases of hypertrophy of the labia minora, a common physical complaint that often goes beyond just the aesthetic problem
- Pectus excavatum (sunken chest), a trait generally without physical effects, but which may be a source of psychological distress
Health insurance coverage
Contrary to what is commonly thought, some operations may be covered by health insurance if you have private or semi-private insurance.
Breast hypertrophy is an example. If you are of normal weight but your breasts are too large, causing persistent back pain despite physical therapy sessions, your insurance may fully or partially cover treatment.
This is also the case for some abdominoplasties after pregnancy if your weight is normal and if pain in the musculature of the abdominal wall (hernia) is documented by a prior ultrasound.
